Vehicle & Wall Wraps
Over the years that I worked at SpeedPro Imaging I had the chance to work on a variety of interesting projects. The most common large projects we get are vehicle/wall wraps or lettering. Sometimes the client supplies a full logo and a style guide, then just the layout is up to me, and other times a new logo design is inluded in the request and they give me more creative freedom. The Wyndham Hotel gym wrap guidance was simply to feature athletic people. Blue is the color of the hotels branding, so I decided to use that as the base with a little gradient for a bright uplifting color. I used rippling lines, weaving through each of the stock images used tying in the action from all the athletes featured. A semi-transparent vinyl was used on the windows as they wanted to cover some of the less scenic views - a little more light was needed so I made some last-minute adjustments freehand and with an Exacto knife.
Other Design Projects
Sometimes clients require a new logo as is the case with the annual Taste of Wellesley food festival - I have included some of my draft designs here along with the final logo that is in spring colors at the request of the client, differing from my original color pallete of black and red that goes with Wellesley yout sports that I had previously worked on. The map of lost elevated train lines of NYC was produced in partnership with the Shoreline Trolly Museum of CT - a very interesting project to work on.
